What "remanufactured" means
A remanufactured machine is a commercial unit — usually a club trade-in or lease return — that has been completely disassembled, inspected, rebuilt with new wear components, refinished and re-tested to like-new mechanical and cosmetic condition.
That last part is the key distinction. Anyone can wipe down a used treadmill and call it "refurbished." Remanufacturing means the machine comes apart: frame stripped and repainted, belts, bearings and batteries replaced as a rule, and any component showing meaningful wear replaced whether it has failed yet or not. The result performs and presents like a new machine at a fraction of the price — which is why we back every one with the same 1-year parts & labor warranty you'd expect on new equipment.
Where do the machines come from? Primarily commercial facilities — health-club trade-ins, hotel refresh cycles and lease returns. Commercial equipment is engineered for 8–12 hours of daily use, so a well-rebuilt club machine has decades of service left in it.

Our 8-step remanufacturing process
Every machine follows the same documented path through our Hayward facility. No steps skipped, no exceptions.
- Intake inspection
Key systems are diagnosed on arrival — drive, electronics, frame — and a rebuild sheet is opened for the unit.
- Function & noise testing
The machine runs under load so technicians can log abnormal sounds, error codes and performance faults before teardown.
- Complete teardown
The unit is disassembled to the bare frame and deep-cleaned, exposing wear that surface servicing never finds.
- Frame refinishing
Frames are sanded and repainted — powder-coated where applicable — for a durable, like-new finish.
- Parts replacement
Belts, bearings and batteries are replaced as a rule, along with any component showing meaningful wear.
- Reassembly to spec
The machine is rebuilt to factory specification with fresh hardware, then calibrated and lubricated.
- Cosmetic restoration
New decals and overlays are applied; shrouds and plastics are restored or replaced so it looks the way it runs.
- Final QC & load test
Every unit is re-tested under load and signed off by a senior technician before it's crated for freight.
What gets replaced
Replaced on essentially every rebuild:
- Running belts, drive belts and treadmill decks (as wear dictates)
- Bearings, rollers and track wheels
- Batteries and power components
- Pedals, grips, straps and contact surfaces
- Cables and pulleys showing wear
- Decals, overlays and worn plastics
Beyond the standard list, our rule is simple: any part showing meaningful wear is replaced during the rebuild — not after it fails in your gym. Motors, consoles and electronics are tested and replaced or repaired as needed.
Cosmetic options & custom finishes
Custom powder-coat colors
Because every frame is stripped and refinished anyway, select machines can be powder-coated in a custom color for a modest upcharge — match your facility branding or give a home gym a signature look. Look for the custom-paint option on eligible product pages.
Upholstery & contact surfaces
Seats, pads and rollers can be re-upholstered in a range of colors on strength and recumbent equipment. New grips and contact surfaces are standard on rebuilds — nobody wants someone else's decade of palm sweat.

Every remanufactured machine ships with a 1-year parts & labor warrantyas standard — a technician comes to you, and parts, labor and travel are covered. Extended coverage of 2, 3 or 5 years total is available on most machines at purchase.

Remanufactured FAQ
How old are remanufactured machines?
Model years vary — machines typically range from a few years to 15+ years old depending on when the model was produced. Age matters less than you'd think: after a full rebuild the wear items are new, and the frame of a commercial machine is effectively ageless. Every listing identifies the exact model so you can research it.
Will it really look new?
Mechanically like-new and cosmetically close-to-new is the standard we rebuild to. Frames are refinished, decals replaced and plastics restored. If a cosmetic defect arrives on delivery, report it within a week and we'll make it right — seewarranty terms.
Is remanufactured worth it for a commercial facility?
That's our biggest customer segment. You get full-commercial frames at up to 60% off, a parts-and-labor warranty with on-site service, and the option to lease the whole package. Many facilities mix remanufactured cardio with new accessories.
