Cybex Arc Trainers for Sale
The Cybex Arc Trainer is a category of its own. Instead of the oval path of an elliptical, the footplates travel in an arc that keeps the feet level and the knee behind the toe, which reduces stress on the joints while working the glutes and hamstrings harder than a conventional elliptical.
Incline on an Arc Trainer changes the movement itself: low settings feel like a glide, mid settings like a stride, and high settings like a climb. Total-body models (the "AT" suffix) add moving arms; lower-body models (the "A" suffix) have fixed handles.

More About Arc Trainers
Cybex Arc Trainers are built with heavy steel frames, sealed bearings and a proven drive system, and they are among the most durable pieces of cardio equipment ever produced for the club market. Later 600- and 700-series units add a self-powered generator, a wider incline and resistance range, and premium consoles; earlier 300–500 series models are simpler and represent excellent value for PT clinics and home gyms.
Every remanufactured Arc Trainer we sell is fully disassembled, the frame is inspected and refinished, wear parts such as bearings, rollers and belts are replaced, the drive and electronics are tested under load, and the console is verified. Custom paint is available on most models.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Arc Trainer easier on the knees than an elliptical?
Independent studies commissioned by Cybex found lower patellofemoral stress on the Arc Trainer than on ellipticals or treadmills, because the foot never travels behind the knee. Many physical therapists recommend it for that reason.
What is the difference between "A" and "AT" models?
A models (e.g. 425A) are lower-body only with fixed handlebars. AT models (e.g. 525AT) add moving arms for a total-body workout.
Does an Arc Trainer need to be plugged in?
Most 600 and 700 series units are self-powered. Some earlier models and units with premium consoles require a standard outlet — check the product page.
